OKLAHOMA CITY, April 11, 2023 – Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams has been named Western Conference Rookie of the Month for games played in March and April, it was announced today by the NBA.
Williams appeared in 18 games (all starts) and averaged 18.7 points on a team-leading 54.7 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.67 steals in 33.7 minutes per game in March and April. His points, assists and steals led all Western Conference rookies, while his rebounds were tied for fourth among conference rookies.
He scored a career-high 32 points in the Thunder’s 129-119 win over the Utah Jazz on March 5, and tallied 20-plus points in nine of his 18 games.
This marks the second Western Conference Rookie of the Month honor for Williams, making him the third Thunder player to win multiple Rookie of the Month awards.
